Romantic Ideas for Fall - Fall in Love Again this Autumn
Although many people associate summer with romantic ideas, fall can also be an excellent time for romance. Leaves are starting to change colors, wildlife is preparing for the winter, and days are getting shorter and cooler... but don't let your relationship get into hibernation mode!
Top 5 Romantic Ideas for Fall
5- Buy your partner a little gift for no reason at all. Go for something small like some Hershey kisses but spruce your gift up by placing the chocolate pieces into a small box and wrapping it. Buy a card that expresses your feelings about your partner or write your own romantic love letter.
4- Go to a farmer's market and pick fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. Plan and cook a romantic meal together. Have fun experimenting with flavors and colors in the kitchen. Why not use this opportunity to try a nice wine that your local wine expert could recommend based on what you will have to eat...
3- Go to a nearby Bed and Breakfast or rent the honeymoon suite for a weekend getaway. The tourist season is over in most part of the country, so you should be able to get a good deal. Romantic getaways can be within your reach and your budget if you plan them carefully. You can even use some of your credit card rewards points to cover some of the expenses associated with your getaway like hotel expenses, gifts or meals.
2- If you have a fireplace at home, you can enjoy a romantic evening in front of it, with a glass of wine and great company. Get a babysitter if you have children or better yet, send them over to your parents or to a relative's home for the night. Take the time to truly listen to your partner.
If you don't have a fireplace, spend time together in the living room WITHOUT turning on the TV. It's OK to play some romantic music in the background but take the time to look at your partner, talk to him/her and truly listen to each other.
1- Go for a walk in the forest. Enjoy the beautifully colored leaves. Why not collect a few red, orange, brown and yellow leaves and place them into an old book to dry flat? Watching falling leaves is very romantic, especially when there is no one around.
But make sure to do your research before hitting the woods. Be aware of when hunting season starts in your area before getting in the forest...
If walking in the woods isn't an option, take a walk in the older neighborhoods that often have old trees lining the streets.
