Easter at Walt Disney World
Celebrating the Easter season while on vacation at Walt Disney World is easier than you think; the resort has had a longstanding tradition of having Easter morning services for guests. This year Easter falls on Sunday, April 24, 2011 and Walt Disney World will be celebrating Easter with religious services at the Contemporary Resort in the Fantasia Ballroom, with Catholic Masses at 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. and Protestant services at 9:00 a.m. Parking restrictions apply, so guests should use the monorail Disney shuttle buses to get to the services.
In addition to special Easter brunches and menus at various restaurants throughout the Walt Disney World resort, there will be a Mr. and Mrs. Bunny character greeting at Magic Kingdom, with a special appearance at 2:45 p.m. before the parade on Easter Sunday. Another way to spend Easter Sunday at Disney World is to enjoy the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival (pictured) which is going on now until May 15. The Flower Power concert series is in full bloom, with the Nelsons playing a musical tribute to their father Rick Nelson over Easter weekend.
