Festivals and Concerts in Sun Valley

The third annual Ernest Hemingway Festival will be held September 20 - September 23, 2007. The festival honors the heritage of Hemingway's strong connection to the Wood River Valley and Idaho.

The Sun Valley Summer Symphony - now the largest privately funded free admission symphony in America - will kick off its 23rd season with the Edgar Bronfman Chamber Music series on July 22nd, 24th and 26th. The Concert season follows on July 29th and runs through August 13th. Under the direction of Maestro Alasdair Neale the symphony has grown to more than 100 musicians from all around North America and features nationally acclaimed guest artists including Richard Dowling, Erich Kunzel, Horacio Gutierrez and Jeremy Cohen. On August 10th, The Sun Valley Summer Symphony presents the 2007 Benefit Concert featuring the internationally renowned piano duo Katia and Marielle Labèque, and a performance by Broadway star Brian Stokes Mitchel.

Come to Sun Valley for the 18th annual Jazz Jamboree, October 17 - 21, 2007. Over 300 performances by a variety of bands from across the U.S. and Canada will be held in 12 different venues throughout the valley.
