There is little more fun than a family road trip, or taking a vacation with the people you love. Although it can seem stressful at times, it actually can be a great experience for all of you if you travel well-prepared, that is. Travel in general can be a trying time, but heading out with an entire family is downright maniacal if you don’t get ready properly before you leave.
Start the vacation adventure by first seeking all participants' opinions on places to go - children included. When you involve the children in your decisions about what to see and where to go, you will inevitably make them more excited about the trip. Plan some activities for every age group, and make sure they understand that everyone's interests will attempt to be accommodated.
Before leaving, give the older children some tasks for which they can take charge. For example, you might place the oldest child in charge of coordinating all the games and toys they need. Let the little one pack his own carryon bag or bag for the car to own a little responsibility. When everyone has something to do, the plans become internalized and can loosen up more time for you to concentrate on packing the suitcases, the food, and other everyday essentials.
Since space is at a premium with so many people traveling, try your best to pack light and only take essentials. Of course depending on the size of your family, this could still add up to a lot of stuff - so find out what the hotel provides, such as portable cribs and rental strollers, so you can leave the big items at home. Instead of packing entire bottles of shampoo and soaps, buy travel size containers to bring along smaller amounts. Every little bit of salvaged space helps.
The objective of your trip is to have a good time, so make sure you are prepared for emergencies as well. Always keep your doctor's number on hand, and carry a first aid kit wherever you go. The kit should include pain reliever, fever reducer, ointments, prescription medication, insect repellant, and anything you need for allergic reactions.
Traveling with the family can be fun - a lot of fun - and you want to remember it all with fond recollection. So definitely bring along your camera and camcorder. These are the memories you will cherish long after your children are grown, much less beyond the vacation itself.

If the entire family wants to laze around at the beach then select a beach resort. If they are interested in camping out then look out for a suitable camp location. The problem arises only when each family member has a varied choice and idea for the holiday. It is always difficult to find somewhere that will get every family member's approval.
While planning a family travel, the first thing is to find out what each person wants. Once you establish everyone's individual preference, discuss the various options you have. Make a list of the possible destinations that you can visit, and then collect as much information as possible about the locations. Any information you want is available online. There are plenty of tourist sites that give you all the details. These sites also give a detailed account of sightseeing attractions, and the activities that you can do at the different holiday spots. Many will also have photographs giving you a better idea about your destination.

Holidays with children can often by difficult to plan. You want to find that perfect vacation location for your kids that is kid friendly and fun for the entire family. When trying to find this perfect location for your holidays with children, then you need to keep several things in mind. 1. Kids would list the most wanted vacation location as Walt Disney World. This resort has something for everyone, no matter what age. Your children can enjoy the many kid friendly activities, restaurants, and experiences ad they spend time with Mickey Mouse, the Princesses, and other characters. There are four different theme parks that your family can choose from and two water parks, so that you can find the right activities for your family. You will be amazed at how much there is to do at this resort. The only problem will be fitting everything in! 2. If your holidays with children are much more fun when relaxing on the beach, then you will want to consider the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. This beautiful resort has many different activities for every age of child. It is the ultimate in kid friendly with the many different pools, snorkeling, golfing, and other activities. They even have a camp for children that are younger than 12 years old that can allow them to learn more about sea life through activities and visits to the aquarium on site. For you parents, there are many activities as well, including a comedy club, dance clubs and shopping. No matter what age your family is, there are sure to be activities that everyone will enjoy.
3. If snow is more your family's desired vacation spot, then you will want to think about a vacation to Snowbird Resort in Utah. As far as your kids, they can ski free at the resort, but there are other activities that you can do, too. It is almost summer time and the kids will be out of school soon. That means it is time to start planning your summer vacation! However, you want to be extra careful with kids when planning a family vacation because you want to wind up in a place that is kid friendly and where the entire family will have a great time. The following resorts are some of the best places to take your family on vacation in 2007.
A Cabo San Lucas resort is a wonderful place for families. In fact, a Cabo resort is a wonderful place for anyone. There really is something for everyone in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and the warm water and white sand are certainly drawing points for families. Many of the resorts offer family packages where quite a few family oriented activities are included. This is perfect for families who want to know what they should anticipate when they arrive.
